Journal

Our Church throws amazing Conferences. I love the Women's Conferences... they are empowering, encouraging and you come away feeling loved and valued. One thing our Church loves to do, is give pressies! At the last Women's Conference, every lady received a Journal. They were all wrapped up, and tied with a gorgeous pink bow. The pic, is the Journal that I received. Its perfect. To me it says, no matter what - Family matters.
Anyway... why am I dribbling on about a book with no words in it? I decided today, that everynight, I'm going to make a note, of what I've done, during the day. I figure, SURELY, we'll see our Mini, in the next 12 months. And if that is the case, she'll be born (obviously!) sometime in the next 12 months! So, on that glorious day, in the (hopefully) not so distant future, I can whip out my Family Journal, and read about my (mundane) day. Some may say, why don't I use the blog as my Journal? Coz believe it or not, I only post about exciting things on my blog. (OMG! yes! Gardening, and shopping, are considered exciting, in my pretty ordinary existance!!!)

That is such a wonderful idea!! Love it. You'll all love reading through that journal to figure out what was going on in your life on her significant days. (Rod figured out that I quit work just a week or so before the girls were born, by the way, which is when I would have gone out on "maternity leave" had I been pregnant. Trippy, huh?)

I think that is a wonderful idea.

Last year on August 4th I was outside after dark. There was a shooting star and I had the calmest sensation come over me. I thought for sure that was the day Tori was born. I made a mental note to never forget that moment and that feeling.

Well, that was a year ago this week and there is no end in sight for this wait. I guess that wasn't the day she was born. Maybe that was the day her mother was born! :) Just kidding...

A journal is such a treasure to the future. Recording our own growth is a pretty cool thing.
